So now that you have visited other awesome Christmas Light Displays in the area, are you ready to visit Christmas in the Garden? Christmas in the Garden, now known as the Silverton Christmas Market, is a holiday season tradition for many of us who live here in Oregon!

Christmas at the Garden (Silverton Christmas Market) is a Christmas Lights display and so much more that is held at the Oregon Garden in Silverton. We first went there a few years ago when our youngest was a toddler and oh my goodness, is it magical? This holiday event is one of the most popular holiday activities in the state. The whole family is going to be fully immersed in the holiday spirit after a visit to the newly named Silverton Christmas Market!

Christmas in the Garden in Oregon is a popular holiday event that takes place at the Oregon Garden Resort in Silverton, Oregon. The event typically runs from late November through late December and features a variety of festive activities and attractions.

Overall, Christmas in the Garden in Oregon is a fun and magical way to celebrate the holiday season with friends and family.

When is the Silverton Christmas Market?

The Silverton Christmas Market will be open from November 17 through Dec 31, 2023. Keep in mind that it will be closed for holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas) on November 22-23 and December 24-25.

How Much Does it Cost to Visit Christmas in Garden Oregon (Silverton Christmas Market)?

As of the time of this posting, Christmas in the Garden ticket prices for 2023 have not yet been announced, but I think it was around $15-$20 per person when we last went.

How Many Holiday Lights Are at Christmas in the Garden (Silverton Christmas Market)?

The grounds of the Oregon Garden Resort are transformed into a winter wonderland for the Annual Silverton Christmas Market (formerly known as Christmas in the Garden) and you will walk the resort grounds through immersive paths and along beautiful displays to see over a million lights on display while listening to festive music.

What Activities Will Be at the Silverton Christmas Market?

Some of the other activities that can be found at Christmas in the Garden include:

Festive Food and Drink: The event offers a variety of holiday-themed food and drinks, including hot cocoa, mulled wine, and festive treats.
Holiday Market: Shop for unique gifts and handmade crafts at the market, which includes an authentic German Christmas market, artisan vendors, and more
Santa Visits: Visit the North Pole and see Santa Claus (he is available for visits and photos)
Caroling and Live Music: Local choirs and musicians perform festive tunes throughout the event.
Tubing Hill: There is a snowless tubing hill available for the adrenaline junkies out there! My kids loved this!

*Keep in mind that many of the other activities such as ice skating and tubing will require an extra cost.

If you find yourself ready for dinner, a drink, or just a snack, you’ll find so many options available to you!

Many food booths will be available with a variety of delicious food available, including:

Traditional German Food
Hot dogs
Treats such as candy and ice cream

Looking for a festive (or non-festive) drink? No problem! You’ll find a large selection of drinks available to you too, including:

Craft beer
Beer Garden
Non-alcoholic beverages
Hot chocolate
Cider and a variety of other holiday beverages

If you are ready to rest your feet, you can grab a hot cocoa and sit down next to one of the many cozy fire pits available for guests to enjoy along the way.

Can You Do an Overnight Stay at Christmas in the Garden?

Yes! The Oregon Garden Resort offers overnight stays! Rooms at the 103-room hotel are available for an extra cost, but reserve early because they fill up fast! Each time I have thought to try and schedule a stay, I have found that they are at max capacity and have no rooms available.

Is There Parking Available at the Oregon Garden Resort?

There is parking available at the garden, but it can get very crowded. They do have a free shuttle bus service that transports you from parking lots that are further away from the resort grounds (this is a great way to do it because you don’t have to battle traffic to get off resort grounds).

What are the Best Things About Christmas in the Garden?

There are so many wonderful things about Christmas in the Garden, it is hard to choose which one thing is the “best.” I really love the light experience, but I also really love the artisan vendor market and the live bands and musicians. My kids loved the ice rink and seeing the German nutcrackers. There are just so many great things to do and see. It really is a great place to build magical holiday memories.

I would definitely say that it’s a magical holiday experience for everyone, from young kids to seniors!

There are some amazing holiday displays and destinations in the Pacific Northwest, and there are some great ones. Christmas in the Garden is probably the most unique event in the state of Oregon, though!
