Plus, these make an especially good red white and blue recipe for your Memorial Day or 4th of July camping trip.
We typically camp for 3-4 days at a time, and while I do always love to cook at least one really good breakfast (eggs, sausage, potatoes, etc) that’s not always how I want to spend my mornings at camp. The rest of the days, I like to have easy camping breakfast recipes premade and ready to grab and go. Sheet pan pancakes are great for that.
Red White and Blue Sheet Pancakes are an Easy Camping Breakfast
My family loves pancakes and while I typically enjoy making pancakes for breakfast, the process can be messy and laborious. This is especially true when camping. Think about it. Do you want to pack up and transport all of the necessary ingredients to make pancakes? I know I don’t. Even if you were to make a quick pancake mix, you still need to pack a decent sized mixing bowl which is a pain. Oh and then you get to deal with splattered pancake mix all over (you know it will happen). Nope, none of this sounds good to me. That’s why I like to prepare these sheet pan pancakes for our trips.
Sheet pan pancakes are extremely easy to make and store so it’s always on the list of easy camping breakfast recipes that we prepare ahead of our camping trips. I love this particular recipe for sheet pan pancakes because, not only does it make a great patriotic breakfast recipe, but with the fruits added in, there is no need for syrup! That means less mess, which is always good when you don’t have water readily accessible.

How to Pack Make Ahead Camping Food
When we are getting ready to go camping, I always do our supply and food preparation the day before. Because we use a cooler filled with ice (we currently use this one) to transport and store our food, I like to make sure that I use high quality food storage containers to prevent any food spillage or melted ice leaking into the containers. I have found pretty good luck with this Rubbermaid Set.
When it comes to packing these sheet pancakes I like to slice up the entire sheet pan of pancakes into squares just smaller than these bowls. I take a small pieces of parchment paper to separate the pancakes and prevent them from sticking to each other.
Why is This a Good Patriotic Recipe?
As I mentioned earlier, this is a great recipe for your memorial day or 4th of July camping trip because, although you aren’t home, you can still be enthusiastic about your celebration with red white and blue recipe like this!
