Swiss Roll Pudding Cake Recipe
Are you looking for an awesome Swiss Roll Pudding Cake recipe? I don’t know about you, but I love a good recipe that is easy to make and doesn’t require a ton of baking skills. During the holidays, when it is busy, I love to be able to put a rush dessert together, or even have my kids do it. It’s also nice to let my little one “help” mommy and this is a great recipe for that.
Plus, I am the first person to tell you that I am no championship pastry chef, and this is the easiest dessert recipe I have ever made. I love knowing that I’m going to knock it out of the park every time with this recipe. Oh, and it always gets a ton of compliments when I bring it to Thanksgiving dinner with family. 🙂
What are the ingredients for this Swiss Roll Pudding Cake Recipe?
I wasn’t kidding when I said this no bake dessert is easy to make. It takes 3 pre-made ingredients and that’s it. You can add toppings, but that is completely optional.

How do you make this Swiss Roll Pudding Cake Recipe?
Start with a cake pan (I used Handi-foil pan to save on cleanup). Line your swiss rolls up. I used 10 swiss rolls inside of my square pan.
Fill around the swiss rolls and the rest of the pan with chocolate frosting. I filled the pan up to about the halfway point.
Next, top the pudding layer off with Cool Whip and spread like frosting.
That’s it. You are done. You have officially made the easiest “homemade” dessert ever. You can either slice it up and enjoy as is or put your own spin on it.
Variations to Swiss Roll Pudding Cake
There are several variations that you can make to Swiss Roll Pudding Cake. Here are a couple of my favorites:
- Frozen. Stick it in the freezer. Frozen is good for a couple of reasons:
- A tasty frozen treat is always good, right?
- Since it’s a pudding cake, slicing isn’t very easy, but it slices up very easily when frozen.
- Add toppings. Toppings make everything better, right? Here are some of my favorites:
- Chocolate Syrup
- Cocoa Powder
- Crushed nuts
- Crushed candy bars
- Crushed Oreo cookies
- Chocolate shavings
