Go Glamping

Cabins and Yurts

Oregon is well known for its beautiful outdoors and glamping is a great way to experience it! There are fun cabins and yurts in the area to rent! How fun is that? Check out Expedia to find deals on yurts and cabins. I have found some really good deals using this website.

We, as a family, have had so much fun on our yurt camping trips. Most yurts that you’ll find in local campgrounds offer beds (typically a set of bunk beds and a queen size bed) and electricity. All of the ones I have rented also had coffee makers, and small fridges, and some even had televisions.

Rent a Vintage Trailer

Another awesome glamping idea is to check out The Vintages Trailer Resort. The Vintages is a super fun trailer resort that offers a unique glamping experience! You can rent one of 36 different fully restored vintage RV trailers. Each of these trailers has its own theme. Additionally, every rental here offers its own grill and a set of cruiser bikes. Some of them even have large soaking tubs! Imagine soaking in your fun vintage trailer rental with a glass of pinot blanc in hand. I’m not sure it would get much better.

This resort even has great amenities like a swimming pool, fire pit, and a unique “tasting passport” to help you commemorate your visits to local tasting rooms.

Find a Budget Hotel

The area is full of good hotels and motels! If you are simply looking for a place to lay your head, this kind of budget stay is perfect. I just did a cursory search of the area and found hotels starting at just $63 per night and quite a few that were under $100 per night in total. When I am taking a trip of any kind, not a lot of time is spent in my hotel room, so as long as it’s clean, safe, and comfortable, I’m all for saving money!

Check out The Cute Boutique Hotels in the Area

Oregon’s Willamette Valley is a beautiful and unique destination and that’s why you’ll find so many really great boutique hotels here. If you choose to stay near McMinnville, for instance, here are a couple of the fun boutique hotels in the area:

  • Atticus Hotel
  • McMenimans Hotel
  • Independence Hotel (The only boutique hotel in Oregon that is located on the Willamette River)
  • Dundee Hotel (this is one of the best hotels in the area for those looking for a short walk to multiple tasting rooms)

Stay at a Cute Bed and Breakfast

If you like a more personalized stay experience complete with a gourmet breakfast, I recommend checking out some of the local Bed and Breakfast stays in the area. The following are some of the B&Bs in the area!

  • Carlton Inn
  • The Setting Inn

Some B&B rooms come with their own private bathroom, but not all do, so keep this in mind when booking.

Rent an Entire Home or Choose From Many Guest Rooms to Rent

There is a great selection of vacation house rentals in this area for those that like a home experience over a hotel experience. You can easily find a home in the heart of the Willamette Valley with easy access to the area’s vineyards, wineries, and tasting rooms.
